Classic Wood Shutters 

This premium wood shutter from Southern Custom Shutters (manufactured in NC)  surpassing all industry standards.  The panels, constructed of all hardwood components, are built in paint or stain grade, have mortised panels for custom hinges, and are built so that the louvers close tightly in an up or down position.    This wood shutter is offered in our standard 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" contoured louver as well as 4 1/2”, or 1 1/4”, and 1 3/4” traditional style.  The Classic Wood Plantation Shutter comes in any of our 10 standard whites and/or off white paints or any of our 10 standard stains.  We can also custom match any paint or stain on the Classic Wood Plantation Shutter (surcharge added).

These plantation shutters, like, the Wood Shutter are also locally made and the custom built hybrid shutter is built with the same construction techniques and attention to detail as the Wood Shutter. Faux wood blinds are an economical alternative to wood. We offer a composite faux wood available in many colors that is extreemely durable as well as a solid vinyl (pvc) faux wood which is the most economical and is fire retardant. Our faux wood is also available in the new 2 1/2" size for a more open view.

They are a fantastic option for those who want privacy, light control, energy efficiency, and a product that is easy to clean.  They also have the ability to stack very small, which disappears, allowing for a great view with little obstruction.   We actually have these in our house and my wife loves them for all of the above reasons. 

 Choose from Honeycomb Cell or Pleated Fabric shades. Cellular shades have several options available and one of my favorites is the Top Down Bottom up feature.  It allows you to lower the shade from the top down.  This feature is great when you want to continue to have natural sunlight in the room, but also maintain privacy.

Cellular Shades are also a stylish way to boost the energy efficiency of your home. An attractive honeycomb design creates pockets of air that insulate windows from heat and cold to lower your energy bills year round.
